Design Story

The composition is built around a single visual anchor: a large block letterform, set high on the side panel where the curve of the clog is widest. Its weight does the work of an entire image. Beneath it, angled bands of maize and white sweep toward the toe cap, speckled at their edges so the lines read as motion-in-stillness rather than decoration. The toe cap stays almost bare navy, a deliberate pause that keeps the letter dominant. Across the heel straps, the words MICHIGAN and GO BLUE sit in condensed type, small enough to function as caption rather than headline. A circular emblem at the pivot repeats the mark at miniature scale, closing the hierarchy.

Wear & Styling

On a clog silhouette, the graphic has to survive curvature and perforation. Here it does, because the artwork is scaled to the panel rather than squeezed onto it: the holes fall into open navy, not across the letter. Left and right pair as near-mirrors, so the letterform reads from either side. Printed upper against the darker sole gives the whole form a clean edge, and the result stays quietly assertive in everyday, warm-weather styling.
